A desire to serve.
The ambition to join the Indian Army was an important part of my early dream. Although life did not follow that plan, the discipline, purpose and determination I associated with it continued to inspire me.
Behind every cup of Shiv Sahyadri Chaha is a personal journey — shaped by a different dream, family conversations, a willingness to learn and the courage to begin small.
Read Our StoryMy first dream was to join the Indian Army and serve our country. For reasons beyond my control, life took me in a different direction. That dream did not come true, but the determination behind it stayed with me.
I knew I still wanted to build something through my own effort — something that could give me an identity and a direction. The idea of starting a tea business began to feel like a path I could take, one honest step at a time.
This is not a story of overnight success. It is a story of choosing a direction and staying willing to work, learn and grow.
The ambition to join the Indian Army was an important part of my early dream. Although life did not follow that plan, the discipline, purpose and determination I associated with it continued to inspire me.
Starting a business was a big decision, and my family was not ready at first. Earning their confidence and helping them understand my intention became one of the first challenges. I kept trying, and eventually took that first step with their support.
The tea business became the beginning of a new chapter. It gave me a place to put my effort into practice, meet customers, learn from everyday experiences and start building an identity of my own.
I completed ITI and studied B.Sc. I continue to value learning while managing the business because education and personal growth do not have to stop when work begins. Every day brings another opportunity to understand, improve and do better.
A photograph of Jijau Maa Saheb in my shop reminds me to stay grounded in values, even as I work towards a bigger future. Her life and legacy encourage me to think about the importance of courage, values and staying steady through challenges.
The thoughts and work of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Rajmata Jijau, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar remind me of the importance of education, self-respect, equality and determination. I want these values to show in the way I work and treat people.
Do the work sincerely and keep showing up, even when progress takes time.
Stay curious, learn from each experience and keep improving.
A cup of chaha is also a chance to make someone feel welcome.
Build a strong foundation before taking the next step forward.
My dream is to see Shiv Sahyadri Chaha reach more places and welcome more people into this journey. I know that a bigger brand is not built by dreaming alone. It takes consistency, patience, learning, honest work and the trust of customers.
I am still at the beginning, and I know there will be things to learn and challenges to face. My commitment is to keep working towards the goal without forgetting the values that brought me here.
“I am not just selling tea. I am building my dream.”
Whether it's a quick break, a conversation with friends or a quiet moment in a busy day, we hope Shiv Sahyadri Chaha can be part of it. Your warmth and trust make this journey meaningful.
